• October

  • Tuesday 2^nd- Start of term drinks: Get a chance to get to know your fellow hikers in a non hiking environment!
  • Tuesday 9^th- Equipment Trip: This is a fine chance to get any hiking gear you need for the year on the cheap (and some free refreshments)! 15% off anything in Leisure Quest!
  • Wednesday 17^th- Around the World pub crawl: This social provides a chance for you go around the world in one night with only your taste buds leaving the UK.
  • Wednesday 24^th- 1st Year and International Rep Elections: Do you think you’ve got what it takes to help organise a club? Then maybe a committee position is for you!
  • Wednesday 31^st- Cefn Bryn Night Hike: This is your chance to go walking with ghosts! This is a local ‘fangtastic’ walk - a frightfully good night out! Fancy dress recommended!

• November

  • Wednesday 7^th- Laser Zone: This social is as energetic as they come! Headless chicken style (like your social sec Elle) or skilled assassin (Vice - Aaron and Treasurer - Chris) – You’ll still have fun! The winner receives VIP tickets to PLAY the nightclub.
  • Tuesday 13^th- Bowling: Come along and show off your bowling skills (even if you profess not to have any)! This is an extremely funny night out and recommend to everyone!
  • Wednesday 21^st- No Social this week
  • Tuesday 27^th- Ice Skating at Swansea's Waterfront Winterland. If you haven't skated outside before you don't know what you are missing. A fun filled event to get yourself in the mood for Christmas

• December

  • Monday 3^rd December - Christmas Dinner: This is THE big one. Members, alumni, friends, and partners are all welcome as we head to the Oxwich Bay Hotel. Always a great night. Check out the photographs in the gallery if you need proof.
  • Tuesday 11^th December - Charity quiz in DV8 in aid of the cancer charity Maggie's Caring Centres, 7pm for 8. Teams of five people. £5 entry per team. It should be a great night of fun and an excellent cause. Form a team or come along and join another one.
  • Friday 14^th December - End of Term Drinks: We are planning to spend much of the afternoon in JCs after 'sign-up' and then head over to Pub on the Pond for a meal. Join us for one pint or three anytime during the afternoon. An informal and relaxed end to term

Spring 2008

• January

  • Tuesday 29^th January - Post-exam/Start of Term drinks

• February

  • Tuesday 5^th February - Pancake Night at 94 Marlborough Road. This is fast becoming a tradition. Use up all those spare eggs, milk and flour by having pancakes with fellow hikers.
  • Wednesday 13^th February - A to Z of Wind Street. Come join us for some fun or will you try to complete this seemingly impossible challenge.
  • Tuesday 19^th February - AGM - This is your chance to stand for a position on the committee and have a say in the club. You don't have to have any skills already. We can teach you. There are also positions for all types of people from the outgoing Social Sec to the Secretary or Webmaster who never have to show their face in public! Check out the Committee page for who is in the current positions.
  • Tuesday 26^th February - Rhosilli Down Night Hike - Another chance to have a late evening wander, this time surveying the lights of Carmarthen bay before walking back along the beach. Memorable and unmissable.
  • Thursday 28^th February - *NEW* Andrew's Birthday Alternative Social - Especially for those who cannot make the night hike! Meeting at Wetherspoons, then on to Jaks at 10.30pm.

• March

  • Wednesday 5^th March - Laserzone - We revisit this venue for more fun with Lasers. Let your hair down by stalking the Chairman or assasinating the Secretary. Team up with your friends or play on your own. A fun event for all. We plan to head out for a couple of drinks afterwards in town.
  • Wednesday 12^th March - Uplands Social - Finally we come closer to home for a relaxed pool competition in the Snooker Hall before moving across the road to the 'Tav'.

Summer 2008

• April

  • Wednesday 16^th April - Start of term drinks in JC's. We will probably move over to Pub on the Pond for a few puddings after a while. Can anyone eat a whole 'Mega-Sundae-with-Chomps-and-far-too-much-Chocolate' or whatever they are calling it this week? (update - "it was called a 'Curley-whirly-Mega-Thingy' last time I heard" said Rhodri - does he ever stop thinking about food? Brownies last week, what will be produced for the next walk I wonder? Maybe we should elect a Hiking-chef to the committee to organise all refreshments on the walks)
  • Wednesday 23^rd April - Mumbles - come and explore the Mumbles Mile or find the fabulous 'Park Inn' on a backstreet.
  • Wednesday 30^th April - Orientbeering

• May

  • Wednesday 7^th May - Three Cliffs Bay and BBQ on the beach
  • Wednesday 14^th May - Group meal in town - possibly in China China
